Our aim is to farm as naturally and sustainably as possible. The hogget lambs are matured for up to 18 months before slaughter, then hung for up to three weeks to give a uniquely tasty meat.
Our farm is on the edge of the Black Mountains in Monmouthshire and has been pretty much the same for almost 500 years .
We supply a number of well-known and Michelin Starred chefs. When you order from us the lamb is specially chosen for you so please allow us just more than two weeks to prepare it for you .
Black Welsh Lamb , hogget and mutton is available to order, cut and packed, ready for the freezer.
We offer either a whole or half lamb and our brilliant butcher Johntie will prepare the meat to your requirements. Pedigree Black Welsh Lambs are relatively small, between 12 -15 kilos and so, once butchered will fit into the freezer space of most domestic fridges. Hoggets and mutton are larger up to 20 kilos.
For a whole lamb we suggest ;
Whole lambs - 12-15 kgs @ £11.50 per kg
Half lambs - 6 - 8 kgs @ £12.50 per kg
Free delivery within 10 miles , £15 for the rest of the UK.
