good pick your own but other than that not much local food - seemingly repacked or branded malt kiln but not produced on the premises

Malt Kiln is a rather curious mixture of farmshop, cafe, pick-your-own and nursery. Whilst they have a good selection of meat (including game) and vegetables, they also sell a lot of non-local products and do not label the fruit and vegetables. It is possible to buy local stuff, but you have to be very selective. That said, the cafe is nice and the pick-your-own is good in season.
